Your security matters to us. Here’s how payments work at Valero Home and how your card details are protected.

Powered by Stripe

All card payments are processed by Stripe, a global payments company used by millions of businesses. Stripe is certified as a PCI Service Provider Level 1, the highest level of certification under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

Accepted payment methods

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay, where available on your device and browser

Our secure payment page

When you check out, you’ll be taken to a secure, Stripe-powered payment page to enter your card details. This page is hosted on our dedicated secure checkout domain, securecartpays.com, which is a different web address from valerohome.com. That’s normal and expected: it keeps your card details away from our main website entirely. Before entering your card details, check that the address bar shows https://securecartpays.com with the padlock icon. If you’re ever unsure, email us at info@valerohome.com before paying. The payment page shows your order total in Australian dollars, and once your payment is complete you’ll be returned to Valero Home to see your order confirmation.

We never see or store your card details

  • Your card number and security code go directly to Stripe. We never see, receive or store your full card number.
  • All connections are encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). Look for the padlock in your browser’s address bar.
  • Your bank may ask you to verify the payment using 3D Secure (for example, a code sent to your phone or approval in your banking app). This is an extra layer of protection for you.

Prices and currency

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST. The total shown at checkout, including any delivery cost, is the amount you’ll be charged.

When your card is charged

Your card is charged when you complete payment on our secure checkout page at securecartpays.com. You’ll then receive an order confirmation email from us.

What you’ll see on your statement

The charge will appear on your bank or card statement as VALERO HOME (or a similar variation such as “Valero Home”). If you see a charge you don’t recognise, please contact us before contacting your bank.

Declined or failed payments

If your payment is declined, your order won’t be placed and you won’t be charged. Check your card details and billing address, make sure 3D Secure verification was completed, or try another card. If it keeps happening, your bank can tell you why the payment was declined.

Fraud checks

To protect our customers, payments are screened for fraud. Occasionally we may need to hold an order and contact you to verify details before dispatch. If we can’t verify an order, we may cancel it and refund the full amount to your original payment method.

Refunds

Refunds are always paid back to the original payment method in Australian dollars. Once we approve a refund it’s processed within 5 business days, and your bank or card provider may take a further 5–10 business days to show it on your statement. See our Returns & Refunds policy for details.

Not sure about a charge? Contact us first

If something doesn’t look right, please email us before raising a dispute or chargeback with your bank. Most questions can be sorted out quickly, and contacting us first is usually the fastest way to get a refund or correction. Raising a dispute doesn’t affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
