These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of valerohome.com and to any order you place with Valero Home (“we”, “us”, “our”), an online store selling furniture, lighting and home decor to customers in Australia. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

Who can order

We sell to customers with a delivery address in Australia. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order.

Products and descriptions

We do our best to describe and photograph our products accurately. Because of screen settings and natural variations in materials such as timber, rattan and fabric, colours and finishes may differ slightly from what you see on screen. Measurements are given in metric units and are approximate.

Prices and GST

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST. Delivery costs are shown in your cart and at checkout before you pay. We may change prices at any time, but changes won’t affect orders we have already accepted.

Pricing errors: if a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of a mistake, we’ll contact you before your order is dispatched. You can then choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel the order for a full refund.

Ordering

When you place an order you’ll receive an email confirming that we’ve received it. This is not yet acceptance. A contract is formed when we accept and process your order, which happens when your payment is confirmed.

Our right to refuse or cancel: we may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is unavailable, there is a pricing or description error, we can’t deliver to your address, or a payment fails our fraud or verification checks. If we cancel, we’ll tell you and refund any amount you’ve paid in full.

Payment

Card payments are processed securely by Stripe, our payment provider. At checkout you will be taken to our secure Stripe-powered checkout page at securecartpays.com, our dedicated payment domain, before returning to our site. We never see or store your full card number. See Payments & Security for accepted payment methods, when your card is charged and what appears on your statement.

Delivery

We deliver within Australia only. Delivery options, costs and estimated timeframes are set out on our Shipping & Delivery page. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

You can cancel an order free of charge before it’s dispatched. Change-of-mind returns, refunds and faulty items are covered by our Returns & Refunds policy.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Promotions and discount codes

• WELCOME10: 10% off the product price of your first order with us. One use per customer, cannot be combined with any other discount code or offer, has no cash value and can’t be applied to orders already placed.
• Other discount codes are subject to the conditions shown with the offer. Unless stated otherwise, codes can be used once per customer, can’t be exchanged for cash and can’t be combined with other offers.
• If you return an item bought with a discount, the refund is the amount you actually paid for it.
• We may end or change a promotion at any time, but this won’t affect orders already placed.

Your account

If you create an account, you’re responsible for keeping your login details safe and for all activity under your account. Please tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.

Website content

All content on this website, including text, images and our logo, belongs to Valero Home or is used with permission. You may not copy or reuse it for commercial purposes without our written consent.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), as described in our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you place your order applies to that order.
